WaveUP OS Ecosystem Release Conference
Project Case: WaveUP OS Ecosystem Launch / West Lake Cultural Experience Day
Project Background: Critical Intervention & Visual Breakthrough This project was a high-profile integration of offline and online events, designed to initiate a new dialogue regarding cultural digital assets at the edge of West Lake. As an urgent, short-cycle request, the project left extremely limited time for design and development. Following several unsuccessful attempts by colleagues to achieve the necessary visual depth and atmosphere, I was specifically commissioned to take over the visual architecture and motion production.
Visual Strategy: "Light Magic" for All-Weather Immersion To align with the "Above West Lake" theme and subtly imply that this was a 24/7, all-weather event rather than a one-off conference, I implemented an innovative triple-layer gradient to simulate complex lighting effects within the H5 interface:
Layer 1: Ambient Foundation. This established the deep, midnight blue base of West Lake, providing a grounded and premium visual tone.
Layer 2: Architectural Luminescence. I applied localized radial gradients to the central "Big Lotus" stadium and surrounding structures, creating a high-fidelity glow that simulated moonlight hitting the architecture.
Layer 3: Dynamic Temporal Shifts. By manipulating the opacity and positioning of these layers, I simulated a shifting light environment. This technical execution served as a psychological cue to the user that the event was active and evolving across all hours of the day.
Execution & Impact
Composition: The layout utilizes strong vertical depth, featuring a vast, starlit sky contrasted with the intricate silhouettes of West Lake’s stone towers at the base.
Typography: The clean, sans-serif typography paired with "West Lake" calligraphy balances cutting-edge Web3 technology with traditional Chinese aesthetics.
Problem Solving: Despite the high-pressure environment and tight deadline, I resolved the technical hurdle of harsh color transitions. The resulting triple-layer gradient solution significantly enhanced the visual transparency and storytelling of the H5, ensuring a successful, on-time delivery that met the highest aesthetic standards.
